"Kell's" was the kennel name of my mother's first Kerry Blue Terrier as a child. 30 years ago, as an adult my mother purchased her second Kerry Blue. It was at this time she decided to adopt the kennel name "Kell's Kerries." Although I am by no means a kennel, I carry on my mother's kennel name for my dogs. My mother continues to be a large part of  what Kell's has become.

I got my start in show dogs at  2 years of age. I started attending conformation shows with my mother and her Kerry Blue Terrier, Ch. Tyrella's Brandy of Kells. Brandy and I started competing in Junior Showmanship 9 years later.  I was fortunate enough to finish my first champion,  a Kerry Blue named Ch. Connemara's Top Secret CGC at the age of 12. I am forever thankful that I had a multitude of mentors who helped me build a foundation for a lifetime of involvement in the dog world.

Junior Showmanship was a great opportunity for me, allowing me to learn so much about the sport and dogs in general. In Junior Showmanship I showed Kerry Blue Terriers until I received my own dog Ch. Briargrove's Cassie Ole', a beautiful Wire Fox Terrier from Sally George. I will forever be in debt for this gift and all that she taught me. I was fortunate  to be able to compete at Westminster Kennel Club multiple times and the Pedigree Invitational twice. Although, I am far too old to compete in Juniors any longer, Junior Showmanship continues to be a passion of mine, as I hope to give back to the sport some of what it gave to me.

After going away to college and returning to dogs, I was introduced to Agility and Australian Shepherds. Agility became an obsession very quickly.  Agility taught me so much about positive dog training methods and the importance of building a bond with your dog.  It also led me to Flyball which is where I met my husband.

Now, I have found my true love in Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, being blessed enough to have some very special dogs entrusted to me. I hope that these dogs will assist me in building my foundation, as I work towards the goals of my breeding program. Health. Temperament. Beauty.

The Cavaliers are very much a part of our family, and I couldn't ask for sweeter, more patient dogs especially when if comes to my two young children.
